Walker pleaded guilty to writing bad checks to cover gambling losses.

The former NBA players plea deal isn’t expected to include jail time, probation is more likely.

Walker is figuring out a way to pay back more than $750,000 owed to Las Vegas casinos. He’ll be sentenced on November 1.

Walker, 34, has been trying to get back to the NBA by playing for the Idaho Stampede in the NBA Development League.

• When a player is picked near the top of the draft, you might here this silly cliche. “He’s a legitimate first round pick.” As apposed to the illegitimate kids they are bound to produce.

• Teams don’t normally draft players unless they have skills, yet we here this line. “He brings a lot to the table.” or “Great skills.” I’d love a guy to be picked who has no skills, unless eating, smoking pot and sleeping count.

• 99.9% of teams all say they value character, yet plenty of guys with rap sheets get selected, but you hear this line from GM’s. “More times than not, we’re going to go with makeup and character.”

• Players have physicals before the draft, yet you’ll hear the phrase “Has a big heart.” This is a medical condition and should be treated right away.

• The money shot, for TV this is a flash over to the green room and a crying relative, mom is best, but grandma, aunt or girlfriend works almost as well. Tissues are never far away.

• Basketball isn’t football, guys have to play BOTH defense AND offense, so why do NBA people have to say a pick “Plays defense.” Normally when they sign that first pro contract, they “no longer” play defense.

• NBA teams haven’t figured out a way to clone players yet, some executives think they have. “He’s the next [Blank].” Michael Olowokandi was the next Shaquille O’Neal etc. Nobody is ever the next Adam Morrison.

A member of the Main Street Mafia Crips Gang of Los Angeles, friends with Shaq, went on a mission causing havoc back in February of 2008.

The band of gang members thought a gentleman named Robert Ross was in possession of the Shaq sex tape and they wanted back with the assistance of weapons.

The incident started at a Pink Dot on the Sunset Strip and included a kidnapping at gunpoint back to the Crips members home in South Central LA.

TMZ claims Shaq has spoken to law enforcement.

We’ve learned LAPD detectives interviewed Shaq to determine what, if any, involvement he had in the alleged crimes.  When the case file went to the D.A. Shaq was not listed as a suspect.

As for the creation of the sex tape? That has something to do with a failed music deal with Ross

Ross told cops after his falling out (with Shaq and his business manager), he threatened Shaq by telling him about the sex tape, threatening to release it unless Shaq paid up.  As for the tape, Ross claims Shaq brought women to Ross’ home and had sex with them while he was married to Shaunie.   Ross told Shaq a “security camera” captured the action and it was all on tape.  But Ross told cops the security camera recycles periodically and the video no longer exists.
