ACC football coach loves baseball

Jimbo Fisher is still trying to fill the extra large shoes of Bobby Bowden, but he almost ended up in a different sport. The Florida State football coach had a chance to play baseball at Clemson, but he’s happy with how things worked out, but his real love was hard ball.

“It turned out pretty good,” he said. “But baseball is probably my first love.”

The St. Petersburg Times reports Fisher tossed the first pitch out at the Rays game on Monday.
