In what is called the “Delaware loophole,” the Pirates are registered in the state of Delaware to avoid paying corporate income taxes in the state of Pennsylvania, according to a member of the group.

The Pirates have had 18 straight losing seasons, the all-time record in the history of major sports. They tell WPIX (via GrassRootsPA) that reports of them not paying their fair share of taxes aren’t correct.

The Philadelphia Daily News reports Williams is set to appear on the Do-It-Yourself Network’s “House Crashers,” with Josh Temple to help a fam create a Phillies themed rec room at his house. Filming will take place at the fans home and at Citizens Bank Park next week. The show will air on the DIY Network AND MLB Network, where Williams works.

“Mr. Bonds is entitled to be informed at tomorrow’s status conference whether the government intends to retry him on the mistried counts,” lawyers for Bonds wrote in yesterday’s filing. Under federal law, the government must retry Bonds on the perjury charges within 70 days of the April 13 mistrial date, according to the filing.
