Colts, Saints will never recover from "Pro Bowl disruption"
Who isn't sick of hearing about how tough its going to be for 14 members of the Colts and Saints to travel a day early to Fort Lauderdale to be part of the Pro Bowl.Unless the players are traveling to South Florida by stagecoach and the teams are concerned about guys catching typhoid or hay fever on the trip, this is a none story.
Colts president Bill Polian would like you to believe if his team should lose, it will be because of the Pro Bowl. "If it weren't for the Pro Bowl disruption, they would have the weekend off, but they can't because we have to send those players to Miami to do Lord knows what," Polian told an Indy sports radio station.
Polian should just spit in the face of the fans who paid between $85 and $350 for tickets to the NFL's version of its All-Star game. Why not just call the fans who purchased tickets suckers? What a joke!
The reality is, the Pro Bowl should ALWAYS be played in Hawaii. The good, hard working people on the Islands deserve to enjoy this game each year. They appreciate it. Less than 12 people outside of the tropical paradise gives five cents.
Smart money says that Peyton Manning and Drew Brees will NOT be so tortured by standing on the sidelines that they'll have terrible performances in the Super Bowl.
