The shoes currently are on loan to the Hall, although it appears Foulke lent them with the understanding they were not a donation. A resolution to that ownership issue is expected soon. Foulke sounded slightly confident that his cleats will be heading back to the display case in his Arizona home. Idelson, the Hall’s vice president of communications, said he planned on speaking with colleagues today.

Keith Foulke was having a discussion yesterday with Baseball Hall of Fame representative Jeff Idelson about the fate of his cleats worn in the Red Sox’ 2004 World Series sweep, according to the BOSTON HERALD.
