Broncos QB doesn't wear Mexican decal?

Denver Broncos quarterback Jake Plummer won't be fined even though he didn't stick with the NFL's program Sunday.

As part of the league's first regular- season game outside the United States - the Arizona Cardinals faced the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday in Mexico City - all of the league's players wore a green Futbol Americano sticker on their helmets Sunday.

However, a video review of the Broncos' 20-7 victory against the Jacksonville Jaguars shows the sticker was not affixed to Plummer's helmet.

NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said Plummer will not be fined or reprimanded.

"It's unfortunate because every other player wore it, as far as we know," Aiello said Tuesday. "But there will be no fine."

Asked if Plummer would receive some kind of written reprimand, Aiello said, "No, we'll all move on."

Plummer could not be reached for comment, and his agent, David Dunn, did not return calls.

It isn't the first time Plummer has butted heads with the league about a helmet decal.

Though all NFL players wore a "40" decal on their helmets for one game last season to honor the late Pat Tillman - he was a close friend and former teammate of Plummer's who died in combat in Afghanistan - the Broncos quarterback continued to wear the sticker despite the threat of a $30,000 fine.
