Giants GM takes cheap shots at Marlins player

Its a safe bet Scott Cousins won’t ever wear a Giants uniform. The Marlins outfielder who’s infamous slide ended catcher Buster Posey’s season, has come under attack from an executive. GM Brian Sabean told KNBR (Via the SF Chronicle) that Cousins hit was “malicious,” “unnecessary,” and the best part “premeditated.” I’m sure Cousins has planned for weeks to take out Posey, probably studying images of Pete Rose sliding into Ray Fosse over and over. Saban said it would be great is Cousins never stepped foot on a big league field again.

“Why not be hard-nosed? If I never hear from Cousins again, or he doesn’t play another day in the big leagues, I think we’ll all be happy.”
