They’re denying it, but did the Toronto Blue Jays sacrifice an animal to end a players long slump? The TORONTO STAR reports pitcher Brandon Morrow sent a message on his Twitter feed looking for a goat, they wanted to do “something special before JoJo (Reyes) takes the mound.” Morrow said he got lots off interesting responses.
“I got plenty of offers,” Morrow laughed. “One message said, ‘One-hundred-seventy dollars, will have goat there in 20 minutes. Call this number.’”
It appears the Blue Jays pitchers passed on the sacrifice, at least according to Reyes.
No, no sacrifices, I’m all clear with PETA,” Reyes smiled as he walked away.
