Embattled Los Angeles Galaxy footballer David Beckham, tailed by paparazzi, came straight from the airport Monday to Barclay Prime steak house at the Rittenhouse Hotel for a bite with another guy. Each had the restaurant’s signature $100 cheesesteak, which unlike the $8 version sold on street corners everywhere consists of Kobe beef, Taleggio cheese, shaved truffles, lobster, caramelized onions, and heirloom shaved tomatoes on a brioche roll. Beckham red-carded the mini bottle of champagne that accompanies the sandwich. Management slipped them out the back door afterward. — Philadelphia Inquirer
