Could the Dodgers trade Andre Ethier? It seems impossible to think that one of the starting outfielders of the National League All-Star team could be moved in the second of half of the season, but according to Hall of Famer Peter Gammons its possible.
Gammons, appearing as a guest on WEEI in Boston, was asked about Jayson Werth trade rumors to the Red Sox, and out of the blue dropped this Andre Ethier trade bomb.
“The one team I keep wondering about if they drop a few games back, if the Dodgers start dropping back, would they talk about Andre Ethier. He’s going to make $10-$12 million next year, the coaching staff feels with their bizarre ownership situation, they don’t want to pay Ethier and might trade him now. That would be a fascinating guy to go after.”
Either is having his best season: .326 BA, 15 HR’s, 55 RBI’s. This despite a stint on the DL after a red hot April. He’s on pace for 30 HR’s and 112 RBI’s.
